Theory One Studios – is a high-end production facility in historic downtown Niles, Michigan, designed for artists and creators seeking world-class sound. The studio features a purpose-built control room and tracking spaces optimized for precision recording and mixing.

At the core of the room is a 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos monitoring system from M&K Sound, ensuring accurate, immersive playback and exceptional mix translation. An ATI Paragon II console, AVID Pro Tools Ultimate HDX, premium outboard gear, and a curated microphone collection provide both vintage character and modern flexibility.

Founded in 2003, Theory One Productions is led by husband-and-wife team Paul and Courtney Klimson, combining world-class audio expertise with seamless production management. Paul Klimson, an experienced industry veteran and your guy behind the console, where his precision and musical instinct shape every performance. His recent work includes joining Madonna on The Celebration Tour, further underscoring his reputation at the highest level of global touring.

Together, Paul and Courtney have built a pro-audio and production partnership dedicated to engineering, recording, and mixing premier concert performances and multimedia broadcasts. Their client roster spans leading artists such as Justin Timberlake, The Roots, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Passion Pit, and Eric Clapton.

Theory One continues in the form of their recently opened studio in Michigan to deliver the highest production and audio standards for for new aspiring artists, as they have done for concert tours and broadcast events across the globe, driven by Paul’s technical mastery and Courtney’s expert studio and artist management.

Beyond the studio and global touring work, Paul and Courtney are also co-founders of The Roadie Clinic (TRC), a nonprofit organization created by roadies, for roadies. Established in 2019 and based in Niles, Michigan, TRC was born from their more than two decades of life on tour, witnessing firsthand the physical, mental, and emotional toll the industry can take on crew members and their families.

With a mission of “Healthy road life. Healthy home life.”, The Roadie Clinic provides therapy, education, advocacy, financial guidance, recovery resources, and temporary housing support tailored specifically to the touring community. Through this initiative, the Klimson’s are committed to creating a safe, supportive space for the behind-the-scenes professionals who make live entertainment possible — strengthening not only the touring industry, but the families and communities connected to it.
